Tadao Ando, 2004. Underground museum on Naoshima, Benesse Art Site. Permanent installations from Claude Monet, Walter De Maria, and James Turrell.

Encountered. The building lives below ground, lit only by daylight cut through narrow apertures, three rooms for three artists.

The mysterious museum where photographs are not allowed and reservation required. The whole museum houses only 3 artists, where each artist is given plenty of room and space for their art. The visit felt like a pilgrimage.
