Kohei Nawa, VESSEL, 2015. Single-channel video, color, sound, 26 min 47 sec. A dance film made with the choreographer Damien Jalet: clay-pale bodies on a white mound, moving over a material that clumps when gripped and dissolves when let go, so the figure keeps slipping between solid and liquid, animate and inanimate. Met in the dark of the Arario basement.
