Rei Naito, Matrix (2010), with architect Ryue Nishizawa. A pillarless concrete shell at Teshima Art Museum, 40 by 60 metres, two oval openings cut to the sky; through fine pores in the floor, groundwater wells up into beads that wander, pool, and vanish across the day.
Grows from Rei Naito.
My own encounter, at Teshima Art Museum. No photographs allowed.
